For the fourth and final workout of Draft Express' West Coast swing, we visited the 360 Health Club in Los Angeles to watch a private workout with likely top 5 pick Adam Morrison. [More] source: Draft Express
Nice player. Resembles Bird in many ways, but not nearly as versatile. Morrison is a scorer, first and foremost. Not much of a rebounder (though he is better than what he averaged for Gonzaga), and not much of a passer (again, he's better than what his stats show). But he's a competitor and his drive to win is addictive.
I doubt he last until 7. And I actually hope he doesn't because it will be tough to decide whether to take him or not. I like him a lot, but we already have too many talented wing players and certainly don't need another one. But he's too good to pass up.
I agree Derren. It would be very hard to pass him up if he would be the one that slips to 7... Danny has said he drafts BPA and chances are Morrison would be it. But we really don't need another wing so taking him would have to lead to a trade of someone. The will to win and his competitive nature would indeed be catchy... I think we get some of that with Wally as well. I still have to smile thinking of his first day here after all that travel and the physical and he still sat there looking at Doc at every time out wanting to play. You can never have too much of that kind of enthusiasm.
